EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) -- The Evansville Hispanic community came together to celebrate love and unity at the 3rd Annual Salsa on the Square, hosted by Evansville Latin Dance.

Although the event spotlights Hispanic culture, it is meant to be a place for all to come and just dance.

"This is an important opportunity for us to just let loose and forget about the worries," says community organizer Michael Angelo.

Those worries are potential ICE raids. Angelo says people in the Tri-state are worried about what is happening in the county. This event is a way to combat discrimination while promoting inclusivity.

"There are quite a few second and third generation Latino Americans here that have status that are citizens that are still feeling the anxiety and the mental drain of what's going on
