Just how widespread is state and local police cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)?

Elsewhere, participation has grown.

In most states outside Connecticut, state and local cooperation with ICE does happen to some degree through ICE’s 287g enforcement program.

As of October 1, nationwide there are 1036 participating law enforcement agencies that can help ICE identify and process undocumented people with criminal charges, serve and execute administrative warrants, and join ICE-led task forces.

Connecticut is one of 10 states not affiliated with the 287g program.
