Bishop of Manchester says church is ‘standing in solidarity’ with synagogue attack victims

Worshippers had gathered at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester on the Jewish community's holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur, when they came under attack. Police say an assailant drove a car into the crowd outside the synagogue on Thursday, then got out and began stabbing people, killing two and wounding four. David Walker, the Anglican Bishop of Manchester, lives near the synagogue. He told As It Happens host Nil Kӧksal what he saw, and how he’s offering support and prayers for his Jewish neighbours.
