LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Slightly higher moisture worked in from the east on Thursday, and this brought a good scattering of showers and thunderstorms.

Storms should wind down after sunset, but hopefully they will provide some cooling relief for the evening hours. Temperatures will likely reach the upper 60s to low 70s to start our Friday morning.

Friday and Saturday will likely see fewer showers than Thursday, but we may still see a few isolated showers or storms in the afternoon hours. Away from those showers it will be warm with afternoon highs in the upper 80s and with higher humidity it will feel even warmer.
