EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Event leaders say an annual tradition at the University of Evansville was a huge success.
It’s the 23rd year of the UE Chili Bowl Sale in an effort to help fight hunger.
Students and staff from the UE Clay Club, the Department of Art, and the Purple Potters club all hand-crafted ceramic bowls for the community to purchase.
With those bowls, people were treated to a serving of chili.
Event leaders say they sold out of everything in 5 minutes.
UE raised the cost of their bowls to $15 this year, hoping to collect even more money to support food charities.
Avery Mason, president of the UE Clay Club, says a lot of work goes into the event.
