COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a student in connection with a threat made at Cookeville High School.

PCSO reports that deputies were notified of a message that contained threats of mass violence toward students and faculty on Thursday.

“SRO deputies immediately followed protocol and took the suspect into custody without having to disrupt school operations by going on a lockdown,” PCSO said.

The suspect has been charged with making a threat of mass violence against CHS and is being held at the Putnam County Juvenil
