Driver who died after crashing into Boring restaurant identified

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The person who died after crashing into a Boring restaurant on Tuesday has been identified by Oregon State Police.

Anthony Koenig, 77, of Lake Oswego, crashed into the Timber Bar & Grill just after 6 a.m. after leaving the roadway for "unknown reasons," authorities said.

OSP says that Koenig died at the scene.

At the time of the crash, one person was inside the building, which had significant damage, but officials said they were uninjured.

The crash is still under investigation.
