BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (WNDU) - A virtual special education teacher told our team she will be resigning from Benton Harbor Area Schools on Thursday.
This comes after she has been a virtual special education teacher for 4 years with the district while living in the state of Georgia for those 4 years.
Now under new leadership through the district she has chosen to resign after she says she was asked by the district to uproot her life and move to Benton Harbor with what she says was only a three-day notice.
WNDU 16 News Now spoke with the teacher about this situation.
She told our team that her 9-year-old daughter, Emma, is a homebound student who gets her schooling virtually through Benton Harbor Area Schools.
