Demers Food Group has issued a voluntary recall of one of its frozen seafood products after a potential Listeria contamination was detected.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration , the recall involves select packages of Scott and Jon’s Shrimp Scampi with Linguini . The action was prompted after a California food supplier alerted the company that an ingredient used in the product was included in a separate Listeria recall.
So far, no illnesses have been reported. The FDA advises anyone who purchased the recalled meal to throw it away or return it to the store for a full refund.
