Realtor Raymond Giamporcaro has been through two government shutdowns. Two days into the current one, he's already been affected by it.
"I'm looking for a commercial property for one of my clients. I just found one, and I found out she's on furlough, so it's going to definitely put her off," Giamporcaro said.
He wonders how many more will be in a similar situation.
"There's going to be a lot of people, more towards Brevard County, lot of people in government service, a lot of people working on government contracts, which will be suspended, that sort of thing, so they could be furloughed," Giamporcaro said.
Another issue: flood insurance. Right now, the National Flood Insurance Program is not writing policies due to the government closure.
