According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, a 10-year-old was arrested on Thursday for bringing a pocket knife to their elementary school and threatening another student.
The agency said the child is facing a third-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon at Browning Pearce Elementary, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies added that the child was arrested on Thursday, but released to a parent.
