DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Eleven new officers officially joined the Duluth police force on Wednesday.
The Duluth Police Department’s newest recruits took their oath to serve and protect the city in a ceremony held at the Clyde Event Center in Duluth.
Alongside their new coworkers, each officer was able to have their loved ones present for the swearing-in ceremony.
“It is important to us that we hire people who are caring, compassionate, factual, and accountable. and you all possess these important traits,” said DPD Chief Mike Ceynowa
The new recruits even got to choose a special relative to help secure their badge to their brand new police uniform.
