STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Richmond County District Attorney’s Office will host its fourth annual “A Mile in Their Shoes” walk and family festival this Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Willowbrook Park.

The free event, which has drawn hundreds of Staten Islanders in previous years, coincides with Domestic Violence Awareness Month and aims to shed light on an issue that accounts for roughly 50% of Staten Island’s felony assaults, according to the RCDA.

“Domestic violence impacts far too many lives on Staten Island, many of whom sadly suffer in silence,” District Attorney Michael E. McMahon said.
