PHOENIX — The Tolleson Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly attempted to kidnap a minor girl on Monday.
In the Thursday announcement, the department said that the incident happened near 87th Avenue and Van Buren Street around 3:34 p.m.
According to police, the man walked up to the young girl, grabbed her arm and tried to pull her away.
The girl was able to break free from his hold and the man reportedly ran eastbound on Van Buren Street.
Police said that they have identified the man, but are still attempting to locate him.
