Rosemary Oglesby-Henry, a local woman running for Congress, has denied allegations of menacing after being arrested, stating the claims are false and she will continue her campaign.

Oglesby-Henry, a Republican candidate and founder of a nonprofit, was arraigned earlier this week on charges of aggravated menacing after a man accused her of threatening him and pointing a gun at him. Advertisement

In a statement issued Thursday, Oglesby-Henry said, "I categorically deny this false allegation. I have cooperated fully with law enforcement, including consenting to a search of my home. No firearm was recovered."

Prosecutors agreed that no firearm was recovered when police searched her home.
