A man accused of murdering his wife in an incident involving a tractor slasher has appeared in court as a magistrate determines if he will face trial.

Emergency services found the body of Amarjit Kaur Sardar, 41, at a property in Woodhill, south of Brisbane, in February last year.

Her husband, Yadwinder Singh, was charged with murder and interfering with a corpse.

Singh appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court for his committal hearing on Friday morning, wearing a black T-shirt and represented by lawyer Andrew Bale.

Singh appeared emotionless as he sat with his arms crossed beside a Corrective Services officer, and at times looked at the floor.
