ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The U.S. government entered its second official day of shutdown on Thursday, with senators set to return to the Capitol on Friday for a vote to reopen it and fund the government short-term.
For Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control workers who woke up on furlough, it was an uncomfortable – if not familiar – place to be for many who were already laid off once earlier in the year only to be recalled back to the office.
