GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - Neighbors of La Salle High School are puzzled after a human skeleton was recovered in a small patch of woods along North Bend Road and Sprucewood Drive.

A call from the school’s assistant principal explained that a cross-country runner found the remains Wednesday night.

Paul King, who lives on nearby Sprucewood Drive, said that he’s never heard of anything like this in over 20 years living in the neighborhood.

“That’s kind of frightening,” King said.

He said he’s walked through that patch of woods before. He described it as having deep undergrowth.

“It’s very hard to get through, so I don’t think it was just somebody walking through the woods,” King explained.
