(FOX40.COM) -- A trip to a barbershop in Placer County led to the arrest of a man accused of stealing credit cards and racking up thousands of dollars in charges. • Video Above: Most commonly reported crimes in the U.S.

"Some call it 'shear' luck… but we call it good police work," said the Rocklin Police Department.

RPD said it was asked to assist with a case from August 2025 that involved a suspect who stole credit cards from a victim’s vehicle. The suspect, identified as Ryan Taylor, 36, of Lincoln, allegedly made almost $3,000 worth of fraudulent charges.

On Wednesday, RPD said they arrested Tayor "mid-fade" at a local barbershop.
