KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — On Thursday evening, hundreds of men gathered for the second annual Men of Valor Gala in Knoxville.

The faith-based program helps men who were once incarcerated reenter society successfully and stay out of prison. The program director, Anthony Charles, said seeing men go through this program and restart their lives makes him happy because he was once in their shoes.

Charles was introduced to the group back in 2006 while serving his prison sentence, and now, he gets to watch others grow and succeed.

Former Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and his wife were also at the event as special guests.
