WYANDOTTE COUNTY, Kan. —
New court documents detail the final minutes of Charles Adair's life inside the Wyandotte County Detention Center.

On July 5, Adair died as Wyandotte County Deputy Richard Fatherley kept his knee on Adair's back for nearly 90 seconds , court documents say.
"That's a long time for your breathing to be obstructed by anyone," said Erica Adair, Charles' sister. "That's a very long time and it hurts, it stings. Just the thought of it, just stings, what Charles went through."
Erica said they have a big family and they're all in different stages of grief over Charles' sudden death.
