Some internet networks were apparently restored on Wednesday following an outage in Afghanistan that began Monday.
But Afghan travellers and traders say that flights, trade, and much else has been severely hampered, causing significant economic losses for Afghans.
A businessman, Zabihullah, had wanted to fly to Istanbul.
"I lost a thousand euros due to cancellation of my flight. Now I have to rebook my flight to Turkey."
Ariana Afghan Airlines Director of flight operations captain Mohammad Aziz Azim said that “without internet, the airports cannot be kept operational. That's not only a matter of flying an aircraft from the airport. That's a matter of checking the passengers, the security matters, and most of other services."
