Taylor Swift ‘s new song “Father Figure” will definitely be one of the most talked-about tracks from her album The Life of a Showgirl .

The fourth song on the album interpolates the iconic George Michael song of the same name and he even has a writing credit on the song.

“Father Figure” seems to be told from the perspective of someone who was formerly Taylor ‘s mentor… and we think we know who it’s about.

Taylor appears to be singing about her former record label head Scott Borchetta and how he sold her masters to Scooter Braun , which led to her re-recording her first six albums (though two of those re-releases still aren’t out yet).
