Heartbreaking conversations are taking place at a property in the South Australian outback as the search for a missing four-year-old child enters its seventh day.

Little Gus Lamont wandered off from his family’s sheep station property outside of Yunta around 5pm last Saturday, and has not been seen for nearly a week.

All available emergency services, SES, the ADF and an army of volunteers continue to scour the area as hopes fade of finding the young boy alive.

But police have now stated they are shifting their focus to a “recovery phase” after discussing the situation with Gus’ parents.

“Gus is a little four-year-old blond, curly hair, smiling face young fellow who has been missing from a farm property about 43km south of the township of Yunta since last Saturday,” Assistant Commission
