The Bedford bowling club could be the latest location for new fitness craze padel ball after the City of Bayswater approved a sub-lease agreement with Outback Padel.
The padel ball company will construct four padel courts, a small equipment shop and a children’s play area. It will cover all the construction costs and ongoing electricity charges.
Council members at Tuesday night’s meeting unanimously backed a proposal from Cr Josh Eveson to extend the Bedford Bowling Club’s lease by six years to enable the proposed sub-lease with Outback Padel.
A similar proposal for padel facilities at Morley Noranda Recreation Club is also being worked on.
Rent income derived from sub-leases will be reinvested directly back into the facility where it is generated.
