The York County Coroner’s Office on Thursday night identified the 31-year-old man who was shot and killed in York earlier this week .

Dominick Skinner, of York, was shot and killed by 24-year-old Romanus Myers around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday along the 600 block of East Princess Street, officials said.

When officers arrived, they found Skinner with a gunshot wound and also Myers, who told investigators he shot the man.

Police said Myers and Skinner, who knew each other, had been involved in a fight before the shooting took place.

Skinner was taken to WellSpan York Hospital, where he died of his injuries around 10 a.m. Wednesday, the coroner’s office said.

An autopsy scheduled for Oct. 3 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown will determine Skinner’s cause and manner of death.
