The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee has praised Toowoomba during its first visit to the city since it was named as a potential host for the Games' equestrian events .

President Andrew Liveris was among a group that toured the proposed site at the Toowoomba Showgrounds, about 130 kilometres west of Brisbane, on Friday.

He was confident the city would secure final approval from the International Equestrian Federation and International Olympic and Paralympic committees.

"I see no barriers to making that a reality," Mr Liveris said.

"They've been here already, and they've loved what they've seen."

Final approval on venues is not expected until at least next year.

However, concerns remain about the suitability of some sites outlined in the 2032 delivery
