SRINAGAR : Police in Awantipora on Friday said that they had solved a theft case within days of its occurrence by arresting the accused and recovering stolen property worth over Rs 1.3 lakh. An official said that the Police Post Reshipora received a complaint from Bilal Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar, resident of Wadpora Dogripora, alleging that unknown thieves had broken into his house and stolen gold ornaments and cash. Based on his complaint, police registered FIR No. 200/2025 at Police Station Awantipora under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation.
