PITTSBURGH —

A 33-year-old is facing charges after allegedly lighting a booth on fire inside the Giant Eagle Market District at the Waterworks on Freeport Road in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood.

According to court documents, Russell Weleski, is facing several charges including arson. Advertisement

The incident happened Wednesday night. A store manager identified Weleski in surveillance video.

A criminal complaint said Weleski set fire to the booth at the store’s café a little after 9:30 p.m.

He was arrested at a nearby McDonald’s the next morning.

His bail was denied and he is at the Allegheny County Jail.
