Winds gusting up to 40 mph are expected across Mohave County Friday afternoon and evening, with the National Weather Service’s Las Vegas office warning of hazardous driving and boating conditions.

The agency said the gusty southwest winds could blow unsecured outdoor items, reduce visibility near dry lake beds, and create dangerous wave activity on Lake Havasu. No rain is forecast for Mohave County, but areas farther north in Nevada may see light precipitation and minor snow accumulation at higher elevations. ×
