Athletes from Ellet and East high schools won the voting for the Akron-Area High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 22-28 .

Bree Carpenter from Ellet is the girls winner and Marlin Engram Jr. from East wins for the boys. Carpenter, who plays soccer, received 61.84% of the votes cast. Engram, who plays football, received 45.27% of the votes cast.
