Those getting the Covid-19 jab this winter might experience some side effects, including severe ones that could necessitate a trip to A&E. Vaccines are designed to bolster the body's defences against viruses and are particularly recommended during the colder months.
This is due to viruses like Covid-19 mutating over time, causing the immune system's protection to diminish. While not everyone needs to get vaccinated, it's generally advised for those at greater risk of severe illness from a coronavirus infection.
Typically, the NHS recommends you get the Covid-19 vaccine if you're 75 or older, reside in an elderly care home, or have a compromised immune system due to a health condition or treatment. Despite this, there are some side effects and risks
