Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated album The Life of a Showgirl dropped on Spotify on the evening of October 2, sending fans rushing to stream it. The 12-track album, featuring a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter , quickly became one of the most talked-about music releases of the year.

However, the excitement was short-lived for many, as thousands of users reported technical issues with Spotify immediately after the release. Many claimed the app crashed or refused to load when attempting to play the songs.

According to DownDetector, more than 1,000 people said they faced problems with Spotify when fans rushed to stream Swift’s album.
