The Ohio Department of Development announced $40 million in tax credits are now available to feature films, T.V. series and Broadway productions that are produced in Ohio under the ongoing Motion Picture Tax Credit.
The tax credits aim to entice creatives to the state—boosting and diversifying Ohio's local economy.
"Productions don't just bring stories to life, they bring real economic benefits," Lydia Mihalik, director of the Department of Development said in a statement. "Ohio's Motion Picture Tax Credit has generated millions in local spending, created new jobs and opportunities for many Ohioans, and continue to prove that investing in the creative industry pays dividends for everyone."
