George Michael’s estate has responded to Taylor Swift featuring the late music legend’s iconic song on her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Just hours before the album’s release Friday, the late Wham! singer’s estate said they were “delighted” to have the 14-time Grammy winner interpolate his 1987 track, “Father Figure.”
In a statement shared on the late rocker’s official Instagram account , the estate said that Michael — who died on Christmas Day in 2016 at age 58 — would have fully backed the song’s inclusion in Swift’s album.
