Kickoff was only minutes away when LSU's top young offensive tackle learned that he'd be making his first career start on the road against an SEC defense.

Yet Carius Curne held his own. The four-star freshman allowed only one quarterback pressure, according to Pro Football Focus, in the No. 13 Tigers' loss to Ole Miss, even though he was thrown onto the field at the last minute in place of Weston Davis — the starting right tackle who suffered a broken nose and a concussion in pregame warmups.
