The enigmatic New Orleans Pelicans star was the star attraction in the history-making first game involving an NBA team on Australian soil, and lived up to the billing with a strong if brief performance as his side downed Melbourne United 107-97.
But, more importantly, Williamson looked to be in the best shape of his NBA career, with the slimmed-down 25-year-old primed for a shot at a full season - having never played more than 70.
