Construction of the Oceanside Generals' new dressing room at Oceanside Place is set to start in November.

The plan is to use the existing storage and supply room at the Howie Meeker Arena and transform it into a dressing room facility for the Generals Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League team.

A dressing room licence agreement, good for five years, with the Generals and Regional District of Nanaimo has been approved by the Oceanside Services Committee for recommendation to the RDN board's endorsement.
