New Delhi: Dhruv Jurel hit his maiden Test century on Day 2 of the first Test between India and the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Jurel showed class and temperament to reach the magical three-figure mark for the first time on the international stage as India took complete control of the opening match of the two-Test series. At Stumps, India reached 448 for 5 in 128 overs, stretching their lead to 286 runs.
Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja played an equally good innings and smashed his sixth Test ton and second against the West Indies. India’s new vice-captain dominated the visiting bowling attack right from the get-go and reached the three-figure mark in 167 balls.
