With the early stages of Storm Amy starting to take hold across northern and western parts of the UK, the Met Office has issued a warning to four regions that wind gusts of 100mph are on the way.
On Friday morning, the national weather service issued its tenth weather warning as all areas of the UK have been told to brace themselves for extreme conditions.
The Met Office warns all areas of the country will see "strong and gusty" winds, with gusts of up to 60 -70 mph expected widely, and in excess of 95 mph in some amber warning areas .
These amber areas are located in western Scotland , and include Skye, Tiree, Barra and western Lochaber.
