Mac Jones was outstanding on Thursday Night Football in a road win over the Rams.

Playing with a very depleted supporting cast, the former Patriots quarterback went 33-of-49 for 342 yards, tossing a pair of touchdown passes and with no turnovers. Jones also took a beating, but hung in the pocket to help lift San Francisco to a 26-23 overtime victory.

“He played his (expletive) off, man,” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said. “He was unbelievable in the first half. He got banged up there in the second half and battled through it. He protected the ball and, going against that defense and throwing the ball that many times, not having a turnover and protecting the ball like he did, I can’t say enough good things about Mac.”
