In an unusual and dramatic turn of events, a man from Munshiganj district in Bangladesh hired a helicopter to bring his new bride home, months after his first wife eloped with another man.

The incident occurred in the village of Kathadia, located in Bangladesh's Tongibari Upazila. Kamal Hossain, a 39-year-old land surveyor and father of two daughters, had been married for a decade. In August 2025, his wife Sathi Akhter left him, taking with her gold jewelry and a significant amount of money, and fled with her lover.
