Taylor Swift shared the origin story of her unconventional engagement ring , and it turns out she planted the seed with fiancé Travis Kelce a year and a half ago.

“You wanna see?” Swift asked “Heart Breakfast” radio show co-hosts Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston in an interview Friday morning, flashing the old mine brilliant-cut sparkler. “He designed it with this amazing jeweler — Kindred Lubeck is her name. She does all of her gold engraving by hand.”

While Page Six exclusively revealed in August that Kelce had worked with Lubeck of Artifex Fine to design the piece, Swift revealed Friday that she had shown Kelce a video of Lubeck’s work just six months into their relationship.
