Walmart just announced plans to build a massive new $300 million, 1.2-million-square-foot fulfillment center in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, creating more than 300 jobs.

The new facility will ship large items such as patio furniture and lawnmowers directly to customers, with some deliveries arriving as soon as the next day.

The fulfillment center represents a major addition to Walmart’s footprint in North Carolina, where the company already operates more than 214 stores, Sam’s Clubs, and seven supply chain sites. Walmart employs over 62,300 people statewide and supports more than 88,000 jobs through North Carolina-based suppliers.
