Retired employees of SCCL have written to Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, expressing anguish over delayed pension disbursement that left thousands without funds on Dasara. Blaming CMPF officials for negligence, they demanded timely monthly credits and urged the minister to introduce social security pensions similar to Telangana’s Aasara scheme.

Mancherial: Pension holders of Singareni Collieries Company Limited’s ( SCCL ) regretted that they were forced to starve on Dasara festival day due to delay in crediting pension amounts to their bank accounts by officials. They wrote an open letter to union minister for Coal and Mines minister G Kishan Reddy on Friday.

According to the letter, around 80,000 pension holders and retired employees starved on Dasara, while everyone celebrated
