SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield's NAACP Chapter is kicking off its annual meeting weekend by teaming up with the Missouri Voter Protection Coalition to host a "Good Trouble" Happy Hour Friday evening.

The happy hour is a public event and is free to attend. It will be held at Mama G's Kitchen from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. There will be complimentary appetizers from Mama G's Soul Food Kitchen and a discounted cash bar.

Those in attendance can expect to hear updates on voting rights, including redistricting and ongoing legal battles.

“This is a moment to gather, recharge, and recommit to protecting our democracy,” said Denise Lieberman, Director & General Counsel at MOVPC. “We’re bringing people together to share food, share knowledge, and get into some good trouble.”
