Shillong, Oct 3: NEIGRIHMS today celebrated the closing ceremony of the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar (SN-SPA) Abhiyaan’ campaign, a Government of India initiative launched on September 17, 2025, to improve women’s and children’s health through health camps, awareness programs, and private sector participation.

NEIGRIHMS faculty and staff successfully organised 57 health camps, awareness and screening programs, blood donation camps, and specialty camps across the state, focusing on women and children’s health. The campaign, led by Prof Star Pala, Head of Community Medicine and Nodal Officer for SN-SPA, reported a total of 13,760 females and 12,174 males who benefited from the health services provided.

In a unique step, NEIGRIHMS also set up Aadhar and ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account)
