Srinagar, Oct 03: In a continued drive against illegal mining, police have seized 23 vehicles found transporting illegally extracted minerals in different areas of Pulwama, Ganderbal and Shopian.

A police spokesperson said that in Pulwama, 02 tippers, bearing registration numbers JK08G-6301 and JK13E-0314, were seized by Police Post Rahmoo. Similarly, 04 more tippers bearing registration numbers JK13J-2378, JK01AN-8100, JK01AP-9093 and JK04B-8285 were seized by Police Station Pulwama.

Meanwhile in Ganderbal, Police registered 03 FIR’s, seized 09 tippers, 02 Tata Mobiles & 02 Tractors are involved in illegal mining activities, and accordingly apprehended accused persons in various cases/matters for their direct involvement in the crime.
