CHARLESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Corrections announced an inmate at the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston has died.
DOC said 74-year-old James Wilson died shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
The department reports Wilson died of apparent natural causes.
Wilson had been a Missouri Department of Corrections inmate since February 8, 1973.
According to DOC, he was serving 120 years for three counts of forceable rape and first-degree robbery by means of a dangerous and deadly weapon out of St. Louis County and one count of forceable rape and one count of first-degree assault out of Cass County.
