Bhubaneswar: Even as a well-marked low-pressure area continues to hover over Odisha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a fresh cyclonic circulation/low pressure area over north Bay of Bengal around October 9.

According to IMD’s extended rage outlook, IMD-GFS model is indicating the development of an upper air cyclonic circulation over north Andaman Sea around October 5 with north-northwestwards movement towards north Bay of Bengal and formation of a low-pressure area over north Bay of Bengal around October 9. “IMD-GFS model is also indicating the development of a low-pressure area over north Bay of Bengal around October 7.
